About Us

Lazy C Ranch Is Liveable Palm Springs History

Lazy C Ranch is the only historic ranch of its kind in Palm Springs. What began as a stagecoach stop in the Old West has become an authentic working ranch, and we are now proud to offer our property for weddings, elopements, events, and vacation rentals.

With preserved foundation dating back to the 1920s and original ownership dating back to the 1860s, Lazy C cherishes its history–and we like to share that with our guests. Our five unique cottages offer intimate, fully furnished accommodations amidst the quiet majesty of the San Jacinto mountains.

Tucked away at the base of a desert mountain, our rustic ranch is only minutes from downtown Palm Springs where you can enjoy shopping, fine dining, and unique cultural events. For our adventurous guests, just a short drive takes you to the hiking trails of Mt. San Jacinto State Park where you can hike and bike some of the most beautiful mountains in California. All guests are welcome to unwind in our heated outdoor pool, which is built on what is rumored to have been an old watering hole for horses.

Cowboys and Cowgirls of all ages will love feeding and petting our ranch animals. The dove coop can be enjoyed from a distance, while our beautiful horses are always eager for carrots and apples. And don’t forget to join us for daily goat feedings and playtime! Times may vary, but our friendly on-site ranch hand loves to show off these playful animals.

“I had a wonderful experience at the ranch. The heated pool is great. I love how it’s still close but outside of Downtown. The horses and goats made the experience a whole lot better. I would definitely return and I would recommend anyone to stay here.”

“Can’t wait to go back to the Lazy C! My friends and I booked last-minute to be closer to our hiking adventure at Joshua Tree. Perfect location that’s not too far from the park. There was plenty of room for four of us and we enjoyed the goats and horses.”

“This house is just gorgeous. It looks just like the pictures and is spacious and clean. We loved grilling burgers by the pool against the backdrop of massive rocks, and walked away with some amazing baby goat pictures. It’s a gem secluded from Palm Springs but with easy access to town.”
